Our Story
About Artemis Imaging
Pioneering precision breast CT in Houston — accessible, compression-free, and built for the women who deserve better than the status quo.
Our Story
Born from a mission to make precision imaging accessible
Artemis Imaging was founded by Jonathan and Lesley Gulde after years working inside the healthcare system — and witnessing firsthand how often women left imaging appointments with more anxiety than clarity. Compression-based mammography, limited 2D views, and unclear results weren't good enough for a community with real diagnostic needs.
Jonathan's background spans the United States Marine Corps, emergency medicine, clinical coordination, and life sciences. Lesley's career is rooted in clinical operations, provider credentialing, and healthcare quality programs. Together, they built Artemis around a single premise: if the technology exists to image the breast without compression, in true 3D, with submillimeter lesion detection — it should be available to every woman who needs it, regardless of insurance status.
Located in Katy, Texas on the Grand Parkway 99 corridor, Artemis is the first Koning Vera Breast CT center in the Houston market. Pricing is transparent, flat, and self-pay. No prior authorization. No compression. No compromise.
Why We Exist
Houston Has a Gap
Harris County has among the highest uninsured rates in the country. Advanced breast imaging shouldn't be gated by insurance status or prior authorization delays.
Dense Tissue Deserves Better
40–50% of women have dense breast tissue. Traditional mammography is limited in dense tissue. KBCT sees through it, delivering true volumetric 3D clarity.
Comfort Is Non-Negotiable
60–70% of women experience moderate to severe pain during standard mammography. Pain avoidance causes scan delays — delays that cost lives. We eliminate that barrier entirely.
Transparent Pricing
One flat fee. No insurance billing, no facility fees, no surprise interpretation charges. Payment plans from $25/week. Clear before you book.
